New brand Veermakers launching next week

NEW BRAND  VEERMAKERS

LAUNCHING NEXT WEEK

Louise Liljencrantz started her career in fashion before launching her interior design company in 2009, later partnering with Kristin Rudenstam. Their focus, in interior projects as well as furniture, is firmly on craftsmanship and quality. They moved into making furniture as a growing number of clients started requesting unique or tailor-made pieces.

Next week Veermakers launches its first collection in Stockholm, Sweden. Founded by Swedish Liljencrantz interior design studio and the KFK Master-cabinet makers, Veermakers design and produce furniture and accessories in honest materials combining a contemporary aesthetic with well crafted design. Every piece is designed and produced with a firm belief in quality and responsible production methods.

Exhibiting in the Grand Relations Atelier, the first collection features designs in wood, stone and steel. Among the highlights are three different stools in walnut and oak, the Puddle coffee table in walnut or oak and the Eight table in steel burned in linseed oil. The collection also includes lighting and accessories such as candle holders and coasters. The founders of Veermakers, Liljencrantz Design and KFK Cabinet-Makers, have collaborated on bespoke interiors and collectible furniture pieces for a long period of time.

Among the highlights of Veermakers' new collection is three different stools in walnut and oak, the Puddle coffee table in walnut or oak and the Eight table in steel burned in linseed oil.

With the brand Veermakers they want to reach customers interested in quality furniture, making long term and sustainable choices.

“All the pieces are timeless, they are made to last,” says co founder Louise Liljencrantz. Stockholm Design week, although marginalised, sees a few exhibitions and installations taking place in the city centre this year.

Veermakers is on show at Grand relations, Medevigatan 5 in Stockholm, by appointment, from Monday 8/2.
