Before becoming a photographer, Mike Karlsson Lundgren worked as a hair stylist in Paris and New York. As a result he was early on drawn to the fashion industry working for legendary editors and creative directors such as Grace Coddington and Fabien Baron. Now, some 40 years later his biggest focus is on interiors, still life and portrait photography. We talk to him about what has shaped his way of capturing images and how he loves pairing them to tell a deeper story.

Stylist and set design duo Jannicke Kråkvik and Alessandro D’Orazio have their base in Oslo but work all over Scandinavia with a number of different brands creating their images, shop displays and exhibitions. Most recently they did the new set design for the Kasthall shop in Stockholm, exhibiting their new carpets collection for Stockholm design week. Swedish stylist and set designer Daniella Witte has turned her need for a calm environment into a lifestyle, operating her business from an idyllic farmyard in Lomma in the south of Sweden. With a few small houses for rent during summer, an old stable turned into a studio for hire and and a weekend retreat by the water, she combines styling and interior work with small scale property development with her husband. Later this year she is also launching a book in collaboration with Ulrica Lindström celebrating the simple pleasures of food. We asked her to share her thoughts on feel good interiors and routines.

Stylist, set designer and interior decorator Sophia Bratt has a background in textile and pattern cutting, and worked as a milliner before changing direction to work with interiors. When photographing the Domus series, originally designed in the 1950s by Alf Svensson for Dux and recently reimagined by Norm architects, photographer and founder of Norm architects, Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen wanted to find a location that was designed at the same time as the original furniture. The result is a series of stunning images for Dux.

The global mobility brand Lynk & Co has opened its first showroom in central Gothenburg, west coast of Sweden – also the home of older sibling, Volvo. It follows the opening in Amsterdam with plans of launching more showrooms across Europe. The space is not an ordinary car showroom, rather a community hub where everything down to the cutlery, sofa and chairs are for sale.

Note Design Studio has continued their collaboration with Swedish carpet brand Ogeborg, this year focusing on their showroom rather than their fair stand. With an installation that lasts longer than a temporary stand, the overhaul is called The workshop and is a celebration of calm colours.
